We drove to Meknes At first the ground was barren and dry then the fields began to get greener and we began to see fields where wheat was planted. Near the mountains we found an area that was irrigated - big fields, tractors and more expensive looking houses. Then we passed into a poorer area again where the houses were built of mud and sticks around open court yards.
